Open burning for brush is allowed from January 15th to April 30th by permit only.  Burning permits can be purchased at the Fire Station on Saturdays and Sunday during from 8 a.m. to 12 Noon.  If you burn during the weekend you must call the Fire Station at 508-867-0210 between 8 a.m and 12 Noon.  If you burn during the week you must call Central Dispatch in New Braintree at 508-867-1066 between 8:30 a.m. and 12 Noon.  Permit cost is $20.
