Responsible for the operation of all the public cemeteries in North Brookfield. These responsibilities include the sale, internment, and maintenance of gravesites town cemetery properties. Presently the Walnut Grove Cemetery is the only active public internment facility in use. 

 

The sole purpose of the Cemetery Commission is to provide and maintain public cemeteries for the residents of North Brookfield. Every effort is made to accommodate patrons for gravesite sales, funeral arrangements (in coordination with the funeral director) and perpetual care of the gravesite. The cemetery maintenance department takes every effort to assure that all town cemeteries are meticulously groomed to provide the utmost respect for the deceased.

 

Hours:    Monday through Friday: 8:00 to 3:30 

                 Hours fluctuate based on funeral arrangements and weather conditions.
