The North Brookfield Historical Society was founded in 1975 and later incorporated, for the purpose of studying, sharing, publicizing, and preserving the history of the town. It seeks to do this through regular meetings, programs, acquiring historic objects, photographs, and printed materials.

Anyone interested in the society and its objectives may become a member upon payment of dues.

Donations of North Brookfield-related photos, writing, and printed materials, as well as art work and artifacts are greatly encouraged. You will help to preserve the town's history for future generations. Financial contributions are also gratefully accepted.

Temple's History of North Brookfield has been reprinted by the Society in its 824 page entirety, with all folding plates, and extensive genealogy section . Hardbound, $65 each.
Also available is the reprint of Nye's 1830, map, originally lithographed in Boston, on heavy stock, 19.5 by 26 inches, suitable for framing, $8 each. Available at the library or meeting.

Meetings, as well as special programs are at 7:30 p.m. usually on the fourth Wednesday of the month in the under-croft of Christ Memorial Church, Main Street, North Brookfield, next to the Library. Everyone is invited to attend. Special programs are always free and open to the public.
