Public Meeting – 2018 Community Development Strategy

January 9, 2018 6:15PM

The Town of North Brookfield invites residents to attend a public meeting to discuss its 2018 Community Development Strategy. The meeting will be held at 6:15PM on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, as part of the Board of Selectmen’s meeting at North Brookfield Senior Center at 29 Forest Street. This discussion is intended to gather public feedback on community needs and potential projects which could benefit from Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding in fiscal year 2018. Representatives from the Central Massachusetts Regional Planning Commission (CMRPC), the North Brookfield Community Development Advisory Committee and other Town officials will review the draft Community Development Strategy, which identifies local community development priorities. The strategy is a required element of the Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development's CDBG program. The program has funded several past and current projects in North Brookfield including infrastructure improvements, housing rehabilitation programs and planning projects. Current general priorities include public infrastructure improvements, housing rehabilitation, social services, and others. For further information, contact the office of the Board of Selectmen at (508) 867-0200 or Andrew Loew, Principal Planner at CMRPC, at (508) 459-3339.
