There will be a public hearing on proposed forestry management plans for three town-owned sites in North Brookfield:  the town park located at the intersection of Routes 148 and 67, the land across the street from the park on West Brookfield Road, and the Doane’s Pond/Horse Pond watershed area.  The hearing will be held on Tuesday, February 5th at 7:00 PM in the Senior Center.  The proposed plans will be presented, and comments will be welcomed.

Horse Pond Fishing Permit Fee Increase

Effective July 1, 2012 the cost for Horse Pond Fishing Permits will be increasing from $5.00 to $10.00.

Horse Pond Fishing Permits can be obtained between the hours of 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday at the North Brookfield Water Treatment Facility, 14 Bell Road.
