North Brookfield Fire/Rescue

Located in the geographic center of town, the North Brookfield Fire Department consists of three engineers and one company.

The fleet consists of eleven vehicles :

One Chief's Cruiser (Car 1)

One Deputy Chief's Cruiser (Car 2)

One Ariel Raptor - (Tower 1) 105 feet with 1500 gpm pump and rescue equipment

Two Attack Engines - (Enigne 1 and Resuce 1) Both with 1500 gmp pumps and rescue equipment

Four Brush Trucks - One Hummer with 500 gpm pump (Engine 2), One Chevy Pickup with skid unit (Brush 1), One quarter ton power wagon (Forestry 1), and One Deuce 1/2 Brush Tanker (Tanker 1).

One Hover Craft

Our hovercraft and dive boat are for water and ice rescue. Besides fire calls, we respond to car accidents, machinery accidents, confined space entrapment, high angle rescue, search, hazardous materials calls, life flight landing zones, and fire prevention with the elementary school students.

We currently have a proud membership of 30 paid call members and staff a 4 member Fire Prevention unit.

There are also 2 EMS on call 24/7.  If your interested in joining the EMS staff applications are available at the Fire House.
 

During the months of June/July/August we have on duty Firefighters staffing the station Friday 4pm to Midnight, Saturday 8am to Midnight, and Sunday 7am to 3pm.   Feel free to stop by with any questions/needs you have.  Or just get a tour of the station and equipment.

If you have any concerns regarding the adaquacy of your smoke detectors or carbon monoxide  detectors, the Fire Prevention Officers will come to your home or business for a FREE Safety Visit.  You can call the station at 508-867-0210 or email nbfdfireprevention@gmail.com

Red Address Signs can be purchased through the Fire Dept.  Order Forms can be picked up at the Firehouse, at any of the multiple functions we do in town, or we can email you a form (email a request at nbfdfireprevention@gmail.com).  The cost is $20 per sign.
