North Brookfield Fire Department has a Full Functioning Training Center

Located in the geographic center of town, the North Brookfield Fire Department consists of three engineers and one company.

The fleet consists of eleven trucks :
One Ariel Raptor - 110 feet with 1500 gpm pump and rescue equipment
Two Attack Engines - Both with 1500 gmp pumps and rescue equipment
Four Brush Trucks - One Hummer with 500 gpm pump, One Chev Pickup with skid unit, One quarter ton power wagon and One Duce 1/2 Brush Tanker
One Dive Boat
One Hover Craft
One Dodge 4000 gallon carrying capacity Street Tanker due to be in service in the fall.

Our hovercraft and dive boat are for water and ice rescue. Besides fire calls, we respond to car accidents, machinery accidents, confined space entrapment, high angle rescue, search, hazardous materials calls, life flight landing zones, and fire prevention with the elementary school students.

We currently have a proud membership of 45 paid call members and staff a four member Fire Prevention unit.

If you would like to join the North Brookfield Fire Department applications are available at the Fire House, there are many shifts available throughout the year.

There are also 2 EMS in the station on duty 24/7.  If your interested in joining the EMS staff applications are available at the Fire House.

Reminder: Winter is coming. Please be mindful of ashes, smoke alarms, carbon monoxide monitors. Have chimney inspected and boilers cleaned.

If you have any concerns regarding the adaquacy of your smoke detectors or carbon monoxide  detectors, the Fire Prevention Officers will come to your home or business for an inspection, free of charge.
